Ionuț Stancovici, President of the Caiac SMile Association, proves every day that “Life Happens Outdoors” and that people with disabilities can swim, surf, and even ski. For the past ten years, he has dedicated himself to making recreational spaces accessible for people with disabilities. Throughout the summer, he coordinates activities across 21 specially adapted beaches, including water sports opportunities at Eforie Sud Beach.

Access to the facilities and equipment available at all 21 beaches is provided free of charge. The beach access mats laid across the sand, floating beach wheelchairs, and ramps leading into the sea all stem from the same practical beli...
