Mr. Liviu Chelcea serves as Dean of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work at the University of Bucharest. Holding a PhD from the University of Michigan, US (2005), Chelcea is recognized for his extensive academic and research contributions in sociology and social anthropology, most often focused on cities, housing, infrastructures, and water. He wrote on nationalized housing restitution and evictions in Bucharest, and, in the last few years, on how New York City residents drink tap water, filtered water, and bottled water in a changing commercial landscape of water provision.
