NEW U.S. AMBASSADOR TO ROMANIA DARRYL NIRENBERG PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO PRESIDENT NICUȘOR DAN

Darryl Nirenberg, the new U.S. Ambassador to Romania, received his credentials during a ceremony at Cotroceni Palace today.

Ambassador Darryl Nirenberg was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on December 18, 2025 and was sworn in by Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Michael J. Rigas on February 18, 2026. Today he presented his accreditation letters to President Nicusor Dan, formally beginning his tenure as U.S. Ambassador to Romania.
