Bucharest, 5 March 2026 – Romanian President Nicușor Dan accepted an invitation from President Karol Nawrocki to pay an official visit to Poland, highlighting the close historical and strategic ties between the two nations. The visit comes shortly after the Romanian-Polish Solidarity Day, celebrated on 3 March, which commemorates the longstanding relationship and mutual commitment to a strong strategic partnership.

President Dan emphasized that Romania and Poland share many commonalities: both are key countries on the Eastern Flank, successful economically and socially in the European context, strong supporters of the transatlantic partnership, and aligned in their vision within the European Union.
